Today, March 23, marks exactly fifty years since the Ter Aarse badminton club Shuttle’74 was founded. To mark this occasion, enthusiastic members of the club have organized a retrospective exhibition in the Cultural Historical Museum at Westkanaalweg 118. This can be visited on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Please note: the museum is closed at Easter.
Shuttle’74 is a close-knit association, which is evident from the many ‘regulars’ who come to play shuttles in the De Vaart sports hall on Monday evenings from 8 p.m. Members of Badminton Club Nieuwkoop also know how to find their way to Ter Aar: both associations can visit each other’s playing evenings for free. For BCN this is Thursday evening.
The anniversary will be celebrated extensively by the members later this year, and it is not without reason that they have been saving for years for it.
