FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup Draw Set to Take Place Tomorrow in Istanbul

The draw for the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Under-17 Basketball World Cup, which will be held in Istanbul between 29 June and 7 July, will take place tomorrow at 12:00 at Istanbul Wyndham Grand Levent Hotel. FIBA President Sheikh Saud Ali Al Thani and Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu will also attend the draw, which will be presented by former national team player Kerem Tunçeri.

Teams participating in the FIBA ​​Under-17 Basketball World Cup 2024 have been distributed into four pots created to reflect the strength of the continents in relation to the current FIBA ​​Men’s World Rankings and previous FIBA ​​Under-16 Continental Cup results. With the draw, the teams in each bag will be divided into four groups and their numbers will be determined. Teams from Africa, America and Asia/Oceania will not be included in the same group. A maximum of 2 teams from Europe will take part in the same group.

Pot 1: Türkiye, USA, Spain, Australia
Pot 2: Italy, France, Lithuania, Canada
Pot 3: Germany, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Guinea
Pot 4: New Zealand, China, Egypt, Philippines
