After participating in the event last year and finishing seventh with Kevin Suarez in the elite men’s category in pairs, the man from Alicante faces this challenge with the aim of fighting for the positions of honor in one of the most demanding stage tours on the calendar. national.

In this edition, Felipe Orts will partner Vicent Zaragoza, a runner who in 2022 won a Spanish Cup event and finished second in the national championship in the junior category. A tandem ‘made in’ La Vila Joiosa’ that faces the Vuelta a Ibiza with the desire to enjoy and put together a good performance under the flag of their town.

On the first day, starting in Ibiza and ending in Sant Antoni, the Alicante duo will face a 68-kilometer route with more than 2,000 meters of elevation gain, in a leg-breaking profile with constant ups and downs.

The queen stage will arrive on the second day, the longest of the entire Tour of Ibiza with a total of 85 kilometers. There will be more than 2,200 meters of accumulated unevenness in a day that will have a very explosive start at the top of Morna, which will be crowned at kilometer 10 of the stage. Once the first ascent has been overcome, the race will travel through very rough terrain until it reaches Sant Antoni.

And the Vuelta a Ibiza will come to an end with the most bearable stage on paper. With a route of 59 kilometers and 1,400 meters of accumulated elevation gain, a very fast day is expected that will serve to finish defining the general classification.
