FC Bayern still has at least eleven games left in the current season. After the cup exit and currently ten points behind Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen, the Champions League is probably the last realistic chance for the title for the record champions.

In order to get ready for the end of the season, the Bayern stars met on Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a secret team-building event at the Kart Palace in Bergkirchen near Munich.

Before the professionals could really accelerate on the race track, there was a meal together.

Sports director Christoph Freund (46) told BILD: “We want to spend time together and have fun. We want to have a good time together and see each other longer than after training. That’s always really fun.”

The Bavarians have rented a separate hall for the meeting until 7 p.m., so they are safe from prying eyes from the public.

Not there: striker Harry Kane, captain Manuel Neuer and storm backup Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting. Sports director Max Eberl (50) was also not visible. Coach Thomas Tuchel (50), however, was there.

Bayern veteran Thomas Müller was the first to arrive at the Kart Palast. Like most of his colleagues, he drove up in his company Audi. Only substitute keeper Sven Ulreich and winter newcomer Bryan Zaragoza came on the Bayern bus.

But after his arrival, Müller went back to the car to get shoes. Müller: “I thought we would get racing clothing here.”

Striking: The Bayern stars laughed and seemed very happy – except for one: Leon Goretzka! Because the midfielder looked grim after national coach Julian Nagelsmann was not nominated for the upcoming test matches for the DFB team.

In the end, however, he had reason to be happy. Goretzka won the “Bavarian Grand Prix” ahead of teammate Konrad Laimer and athletic trainer Simon Martinello.

Whether the team measure is fruitful will be seen in the upcoming Bayern game in Darmstadt (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.). The bar is definitely set high after the goal frenzy against Mainz (8:1) last Saturday!
