The semi-final games in the Women’s DFB Cup are coming up!
The defending champions from Wolfsburg opened the next round of the cup against SGS Essen with a bang. On Saturday, the Revierklub received a heavy slap from the She-Wolves (0:8).
In the second semi-final, FC Bayern Munich will host Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday (3:45 p.m.). The Bundesliga table leaders have to fight for a place in the final against the Hessians.

Women’s DFB Cup: The quarter-final results
The quarterfinals were played on March 5th. These were the results:
TSG Hoffenheim – VfL Wolfsburg (0:3)
Bayer Leverkusen – SGS Essen (1:2)
Eintracht Frankfurt – MSV Duisburg (4:1)
FC Carl Zeiss Jena – FC Bayern Munich (0:3)
In the quarter-final duel with second division club Jena, FC Bayern took the next step towards cup success. In the end, the Munich team prevailed 3-0 and are now in the semi-finals against Frankfurt.
The double is within reach: Bayern have been unbeaten in twelve games across all competitions. The team leads the women’s Bundesliga with seven points ahead of VfL.

In addition to Bayern, eyes are of course once again on VfL Wolfsburg. The She-Wolves have won the DFB Cup for the last nine (!) years in a row. Anything other than another run through to the final would have been a real surprise.

The two semi-finals of this year’s cup season will take place on Saturday and Sunday. The pairings for this were drawn following the quarter-final games.
