Retired footballer Eric Cantona, known for his brilliance and his antics on the pitch, will be playing a different sort of tune at Luxembourg’s Conservatoire this autumn.
On Thursday, den Atelier announced Cantona planned to perform his first concert in Luxembourg on 22 October 2024. A king on football stadiums, the iconic Frenchman has now set his sights on the music realm.
The former footballer, who has also worked as an actor since retiring from the sport and dabbles in painting, poetry and photography released surprise EP ‘I’ll Make My Own Heaven’ last year.
In October, he will be presenting his debut album “Cantona sings Eric”, fully composed and written by Cantona himself. It consists of live recordings from his stage tour and is set to release in Fall 2024.
On stage, Cantona is joined by Jean-François Assy on the cello and Julien Perraudeau at the piano.
