Easy Wins for Celtics, Thunder, and Clippers as Playoff Race Heats Up in the NBA

NBA – Away, the Celtics, the Thunder and the Clippers won rather easily against three teams already on vacation.

The Celtics did not tremble in Detroit to sign an 8th victory in a row. This is their 56th success of the season, and it allows them to reach the 80% victory threshold!

Jayson Tatum left to rest to treat his ankle, Jaylen Brown led the attack with 33 points, including a superb 10 of 11 2-pointers. After 20 sluggish minutes (43-43), the Celtics put up the barbed wire at the end of the second quarter, and straddling half-time, they scored a 47-21 to take the lead (90-64) and finally ‘impose 129-102. On the Detroit side, James Wiseman took advantage of the numerous absences to sign his best game of the season with 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Evan Fournier scored 6 points in 28 minutes.

The Clippers hold on to their 4th place

Same scenario in Toronto where the Thunder need a quarter to get their legs going. After letting Gradey Dick do his show, the Thunder signed a 15-2 to take control of the match (45-37), and Josh Giddey proved along the way that he can shoot from afar. Then, Oklahoma City was content to take advantage of the Raptors’ record number of lost balls (27!) to fly to an easy success (123-103) with 23 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a double-double ( 18 points and 10 rebounds) from Chet Holmgren.

Finally, the Clippers won 125-117 on the Portland floor. A second victory in a row in Oregon, which took shape in the first quarter, winning 42-27. Facing the Blazers deprived of Deandre Ayton, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George showed great efficiency with 22 and 31 points each, 19 out of 29 on shots.

Tyronn Lue took advantage of the scenario of the match to rest them in the 4th quarter, while the Blazers took the opportunity to limit the damage with a 16-3 to finish the match.
