SWIFTERBANT – The Dutch badminton champions Alyssa Tirtensentono and Brian Wassink will come to Swifterbant on Saturday April 20 for a clinic and a demonstration. Badminton association Swift’64 is celebrating its 60th anniversary that day.
The Swift sports club was founded on May 22, 1964. One of the events at the time was badminton. Swift’64 Badminton has been an independent association for several years.
Alyssa Tirtensentono is Dutch champion in women’s doubles, Brian Wassink in mixed doubles. They first give a clinic in Swifterbant for the members of Swift’64 in the De Steiger sports hall. A reunion for former members starts at 12:30. Tirtensentono and Wassink will give a demonstration at 12:45. Afterwards, members and former members can play freely from 1:30 PM.
