Nice surprise on the French side in Miami. After benefiting from the abandonment of Marta Kostyuk, Océane Dodin was drafted Friday morning to enter in the second round in Miami. A beneficial repechage since the Northerner won in three sets against the Dutch Arantxa Rus (6-4, 3-6, 6-3). A victory at the best of times since a few minutes later, the rain started to fall again on the Florida courts, once again interrupting the day’s matches.
In the third round, Dodin will face world number 3 Coco Gauff, an opponent she has never faced in her career so far.
