DPWT The rebirth of Manassero, no French in the top 20

Despite a long interruption caused by storms, the fourth round of the Jonsson Workwear Open was able to come to an end this Sunday in Edenvale, South Africa. Matteo Manassero won his first tournament since 2013 on the DP World Tour. On the French side, no Frenchman is present in the top 20.

In charge since Friday evening, the 30-year-old had to work hard throughout this fourth lap to maintain first place until the end. Thus, the Transalpine was able to resist the incessant assaults of the locals Oliver Bekker, Shaun Norris and Thriston Lawrence, who became leader with four holes remaining. Despite this constant pressure and his bogey conceded at 12, Manassero never gave up, like these two birdies scored at holes 15 and 16 to regain the lead just before the interruption decided by the organizers due to storms.
