Domantas Sabonis Equals Kevin Love’s Record with 53rd Consecutive Double Double

Chicago (USA), March 23 (EFE).- Domantas Sabonis signed his 53rd consecutive double double this Saturday, with 21 points and fourteen rebounds, and equaled Kevin Love’s record of 53 consecutive double doubles, in the game won by his Sacramento Kings at the Orlando Magic field (109-107).

Sabonis, a former Málaga player, finished his game with 21 points, fourteen rebounds, eight assists and a steal.

The Lithuanian also has 24 triple doubles in his extraordinary season for the Sacramento team, which is tied for sixth place with the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA West with a balance of 41 wins and 29 losses.

Kevin Love’s record of 53 consecutive double doubles dates back to the 2010-2011 season, when he was a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sabonis will be able to surpass this mark if he achieves a double-double on March 25 at home against the Philadelphia 76ers. EFE
