The Dojos des Aspres association organized an exclusively female self-defense course, inviting young girls and women of all ages to participate. With a fun approach and interactive exercises, around fifty participants, the youngest of whom was 3 years old, were able to discover the basics of this discipline.
The association, led by a dynamic team made up of Kévin, judo teacher, Sullivan, teacher in training, Élodie, treasurer, and Nadine, president, is particularly active. She provides judo lessons in Terrats, Trouillas and Thuir. In Fourques, judo awareness sessions are offered to toddlers aged 18 months and over, on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m. This initiative was a great way to celebrate International Women’s Day. Nadine underlines: “All year round we participate in various events and organize training courses for our judokas. Small special feature: once a week, a self-defense course, entirely dedicated to women, is organized in Terrats.”
