Arab Saudi – The four teams that will qualify for the semifinals of the 2023/24 Asian Champions League are already known. Unfortunately, there is no Cristiano Ronaldo club there.
Al Nassr, strengthened by Ronaldo, was eliminated in the quarter-finals. They tragically lost to representatives of the United Arab Emirates, Al Ain on penalties.
Al Hilal actually won 4-3 in the 2nd leg of the quarterfinals which was held on March 11 2024. The aggregate was 4-4 which made the duel continue with a penalty shootout.
During the penalty shootout, only Ronaldo was able to score a goal from the Al Nassr camp. Al Ain won the penalty shootout 3-1 and progressed to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Al Ain was awaited by another Saudi Arabian League club, Al Hilal.
The other semifinal brought together Ulsan HD (South Korea) against Yokohama F Marinos (Japan).
Leg 1 Al Ain vs Al Hilal was held on April 16. Meanwhile, the second leg will be held on April 23.
Meanwhile, the Ulsan HD vs Yokohama F Marinos 1st leg duel was held on April 17. Leg 2 takes place on April 24, 2024.
