Wanted since 2018, a 63-year-old woman of Colombian origin was found in a healthcare facility in Piacenza. An arrest order had been issued against her by the Court of Brescia. The police from the Piacenza Principale station carried out the measure. The woman had been sentenced to 9 years in prison and the payment of a fine of 40 thousand euros by the Court of the Lombardy city, for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. The crimes were committed between October 2001 and June 2002 in Turin, Brescia, Bergamo and Nice.
The men of the Piacenza Army were aware of the woman’s presence in the city, as a patient of a health facility where she was hospitalized waiting to undergo a routine operation. After being accompanied to the barracks, for the photo-signalling operations and the documents relating to the arrest, the 63-year-old was transferred to the Reggio Emilia prison where she will serve the 9-year sentence imposed on her by the judicial authority.
