Chronic Skiing – Biathlon. Lou Jeanmonnot: “Next year, I will play the globe”

Throughout the winter each week one athlete had free rein. The Jurassian from the Olympic Mont d’Or Lou Jeanmonnot, yellow bib leader of the World Cup at the start of winter and four medals during the Worlds was the common thread of the biathlon planet. The day after the French club championships where she set the best time in D2, she talks about the end of the season.

“I haven’t yet debriefed my season with Cyril (Burdet, his trainer), I can’t wait, it will be interesting. I learned a lot this winter, gained experience and confidence for the future. I liked how I worked with the coaches, we understand each other well. I always wanted to play the globe. Next year, that will be the case. I’m living the life I always wanted. This season, I wanted very big results but I didn’t imagine succeeding to this extent. Apart from Covid in December, I’ve had almost nothing but good times, it’s crazy.

“I love to move, I need it”

I have a busy schedule in April. I will respond to essential requests without adding any more. I love to move, I need it. Staying on my couch sleeping might be a good idea but that’s not how I see my daily life.

I don’t feel physically tired but mentally, I don’t want to bother anymore. I’m going to do the Janteloppet in Norway with my friends, in complete lightness. Then I will go to Greece and certainly Corsica afterwards. I want the sun, to share, and not to do much.

I wish you a wonderful end of the season

Lou
