On Saturday January 27 and Sunday January 28, the Compagnie des Archers Chauriens presented 21 competitors at the departmental championship in Carcassonne. Note the very good organization of the city’s Archers. The club returns with 10 championship titles: Sasha, Simon, Théo, Nathaël, Léa, Marion, Magalie, Marina, Manon, Maryse. In addition to the places of honor, in total the Chaurians made 19 podiums out of 21 participants. Congratulations to all.
On February 10 and 11, the Occitanie youth regional championship took place in Lunel, in Hérault; here again, eight young Chaurian archers came: Sasha, Simon, Thomas, Theo, Louis, Nathael, Léa, Manon. Very tough competition, the qualifications and duels were very close. Of the eight entered, six finished in the top 10. Among them, Manon performed well in barebow with the best score in qualifications, and a 6/0 duel victory. She becomes regional champion. Finally, on Saturday and Sunday February 24-25, it was the adults’ turn for the regional in Auch where five archers traveled: Maryse, Marina, Magalie, Christophe and John. Very good performance from the Chaurian archers. Marina in S1 compound arch won the gold medal only four months after starting shooting, and Maryse won the small final and awarded herself the bronze medal. Note that Manon went to the French championship in Grenoble. She returns after a solid performance with a 5th place. Congratulations to all. Now it’s time for the archers’ course and outdoor archery.
