The organizer stated that this year’s event is divided into different categories, including the leisure group 4KM, the Bishan Challenge group 5KM, the challenge group 12.5KM, the ultra-half marathon 25KM, and the extremely challenging ultra-marathon 50KM. The runners started the race in the refreshing weather and completed the entire course before noon. In the most difficult ultramarathon 50KM category, the men’s championship was won by road running coach Li Zhiqun in 4 hours, 12 minutes and 44 seconds. Li Zhiqun said: “The slope of Beigan is so steep that when you are running, you can touch the road by bending down a little.” As for the women’s group, Lin Guanru, a road runner who participated for the first time, ran in 5 hours and 5 hours. She won the first place in 19 seconds. She described the last 2KM of the steep uphill and downhill sections on the track as very impressive.

In addition to individual breakthroughs, there was also a pair of couples who performed brilliantly in this event. “That Vivian who loves running” Zhou Sijia and her boyfriend Song Tingfan won the championship in the 12.5K challenge group respectively, and won the championship in the men’s and women’s pairs group with a time of 2 hours, 08 minutes and 25 seconds. Zhou Sijia said that this was her second time participating in the Beigang hard ultramarathon, while Song Tingfan was participating for the first time. Their performance was eye-catching.
