Sunday 10 March, in the Marco Pistocchi field, the third edition of the Memorial dedicated to the athlete Claudio Levantini will be celebrated. The event is organized, as usual, by Lampi Milano. Participating teams include Lampi Milano, Thunder’s Five and ASD Club Rovigo.
Claudio started his career in BXC way back in 1999when Francesco Cusati, one of the pioneers of baseball for the blind in Lombardy, together with Loredana Ruisi, Giovanna Gossi and Maurizio Scarso, involved the Gruppo Sportivo Non Blind Milan in the formation of the first Lombard team: the Thunder’s Five Milan.
Three other teams have emerged over the years: the Lampi Milano in 2006, followed by the Patrini Malnate and the Leonessa Brescia. Claudio was one of the few athletes to have won championships with two different teams, first with the Thunder’s Five and then with the Lampi. The memory of him remains indelible among teammates and opponents, testifying to his passion and dedication for the sport.
