Carolina Marín cruises into Swiss Open quarterfinals after easy win over Shuo Yun Sung

MADRID, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish player Carolina Marín qualified this Thursday for the quarterfinals of the Swiss Open, a Super 300 category tournament of the Badminton World Tour, by easily beating the Taiwanese Shuo Yun Sung by 21-11 and 21-14.

The Huelva native maintains her good form after her great victory in the prestigious All England and got rid of her second rival with authority, 30th in the world and who could not pose as many problems this time as last week in the English event where she planted ‘ battle’ before falling in two tight sets 21-18 and 24-22.

But it seems that the current world runner-up had learned her lesson and this time there was no room for any hint of surprise despite the fact that the Asian was able to counteract her good start that made her lead 6-1. Sung cut back (8-6), but Marín’s next spurt (12-6) had no response and the Spaniard took the game without problems.

The second set was a little more balanced at the beginning and the Taiwanese maintained her options until 11-10. There, the Spanish player accelerated and with a run of 7-0 she escaped to close her pass to the quarterfinals without problems.
