Bundesliga – Matchday 26: Bayern scores a lot of goals again – Augsburg beats Wolfsburg

SV Darmstadt 98 – FC Bayern Munich 2:5 (1:2)

As expected, FC Bayern Munich was superior. In the first half, Munich had almost 80 percent possession of the ball. But the Darmstadt team scored the first goal. In the 28th minute, Tim Skarke took the lead for a short time. After Matthjis De Ligt lost the ball, Mathias Honsak had space and passed for Skarke. Jamal Musiala equalized for Bayern in the 36th minute. Harry Kane misses a ball, Musiala takes it as an assist and scores.

VfL Wolfsburg – FC Augsburg 1:3 (1:1)

After Patrick Wimmer scored for Wolfsburg in the 9th minute, things stayed that way for a long time. In the second half, VfL was concerned about stability, but did not manage to prevent further goals. In the 61st minute, Kristijan Jakić gave the visitors the lead. He scored his second goal in the 79th. The defeat will not make the job of the Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovač in question any safer.

1. FC Union Berlin – SV Werder Bremen 2:1 (0:0)

After a half in which not much of note happened apart from a few yellow cards, the game continued more exciting in the second half. In the 50th minute, Brenden Aaronson moved down the left wing, brought the ball into the Bremen penalty area, where Senne Lynen tried to clear, but the attempt turned into an assist for Union’s Yorbe Vertessen, who scored to give Berlin the lead.

Just two minutes later, it was Aaronson who broke through into Bremen’s penalty area and made it 2-0 after a one-two with Vertessen. In the 63rd minute, Mitchell Weiser shortened the score for Bremen, but they couldn’t really get close to a draw again.

1. FC Heidenheim – Borussia Mönchengladbach 1:1 (0:1)

Heidenheim can’t get past a draw at home. They were more present in the first half, but didn’t have any compelling chances to score. In addition, the Gladbachers, who had just been eliminated from the DFB Cup against the sensational club of the hour from Saarbrücken, took an early lead. In the 9th minute Robin Hack made it 1-0. 1. FSV Mainz 05 – VfL Bochum 2:0 (1:0)

As expected, the game in Mainz was physical. There were a lot of duels, both teams gave a lot, but didn’t achieve any real footballing highlights. Shortly before the half-time whistle it was a foul penalty that gave 1. FSV Mainz the chance to take the lead. Jonathan scored confidently and then increased the final score to 2-0 in the 71st minute of the second half.
