Werder Bremen can count on captain Marco Friedl in the starting line-up again in the German Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg. The Tyrolean central defender returned this week after tearing his syndesmotic ligament.
“If nothing unusual happens to Marco now, he will start,” said coach Ole Werner before the game on Saturday. “At an early stage he is back now. That wasn’t to be expected. “That’s also a testament to how he works,” the coach added.
