Patriotas and Deportivo Pereira faced each other on date 11 of the BetPlay 2024-I League and at the La Independencia stadium in Tunja, the Boyacenses did not have a good game, as they were being defeated 2-0 and that caused great discomfort among their fans who were present.

After Pereira’s second goal, which was scored by Faber Gil in the 61st minute, Patriotas fans invaded the field and the game had to be suspended.

Although the Police removed the fans involved to the stands, the insults continued and the referee Jhon Hinestroza was waiting for the order from Dimayor and the commissioners regarding these events that prevented the game from continuing.

The game is suspended and a final decision is awaited to see if due to lack of guarantees the game ends in Tunja, but the Police are still trying to get the fans to leave the stadium to be able to continue, while the players are sheltered in the dressing room by security.

In the end, Dimayor decided to end the game due to lack of guarantees and the victory went to Deportivo Pereira, who is the new leader of the BetPlay 2024-I League.
