Benjamin Bildstein and David Hussl won the first of three day races on the second day of the 49er Sailing World Championships off Lanzarote. With additional places seven and 13, last year’s European Championship third-place finishers improved to tenth place overall.

The second OeSV boat with Keanu Prettner/Jakob Flachberger fell back to 20th place, and the duo is only twelve points short of the top ten. Qualification will be completed with three more races on Thursday.
