BCK Badminton Club Celebrates Four Championship Victories and N3 Maintenance

The Badminton Club Kemperle (BCK) team championships reached their epilogue on Sunday March 24, for teams at departmental and regional levels. Flagship club in Brittany, with no less than eight senior teams involved, BCK has a very good record with its departmental teams.

Four championship victories

The club won the championships of Departmental 1 with team 4, Departmental 2 with team 5, Departmental 3 A with team 7 and Departmental 3 B with team 8. The only departmental team to n Having not won its championship is team 6 of D2 B, which ranked third.

At the higher level, in the Regional, team 2 experienced the R1 classification play-offs on Sunday at Cordiers, where they beat Quévert 7-1 and Brest 8-0 to finish in 5th place in the championship. Team 3 of R3 finished fourth in its group after being beaten in the play-offs by Saint-Jacques and Le Trégor.

Maintenance for the N3

The club’s flagship team, playing in Nationale 3, has not yet finished its season, it still has one match played next month in Brest. Saturday, in front of around a hundred spectators, she played her last home match against Saint-Grégoire. The Quimperlois had to settle for a 4-4 draw, they remain second in the group and should logically remain in Nationale 3 for next season. “We were once again very close to victory against a big team who beat us 5-3 in the first leg. We had to settle for sharing points but we still remain undefeated in the return phase. We are still expecting a big match for the last weekend of the season in Brest,” explains Jacky Hamoniaux, BCK president.
