Portland Trail Blazers will cross swords with the Toronto Raptors in a duel of poorly ranked NBA players. The meeting will be held at the Moda Center this Sunday at 4:00 a.m. Portland is coming out of a failed season by not even managing to qualify for the play-ins. This season is even more catastrophic for the franchise. Indeed, it only occupies 14th place in the Western Conference with a record of 17 victories against 45 defeats. The Blazers are not spared from injuries this season, which does not make their task easier. They have been playing for several games without four of their five starters. Consequently, the 119-114 defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves (2nd) as well as that against the Oklahoma City Thunder (1st) 120-128 are logical. Dalano Banton and his teammates believed in victory by leading the score at halftime in their last match against Houston (11th). Unfortunately, the Rockets rectified the situation to win 107-123. Back-to-back, the duel against Toronto promises to be tough.

Although the Raptors’ previous season was decent with a 50% win rate, management is preparing an XXL transfer window next season. In order to have the necessary budget to meet their ambitions, they did not hesitate to sell Pascal Siakam and VanVleet, two executives of the team. Their absences are felt in the results with a record of 23 victories against 40 defeats. Despite this, Toronto occupies 12th place in the Eastern Conference and can still hope to reach the play-in. After the defeats against the New Orleans Pelicans (5th) and the Phoenix Suns (6th), the Raptors will finally have an opponent within their reach.
