Bader brings in three former team players as assistants

Austria’s team boss Roger Bader has put together a well-known team of assistants for the upcoming Ice Hockey World Cup. The Swiss will go into the tournament from May 19th to 26th in the Czech Republic with Christoph Brandner, Markus Peintner and his compatriot Arno Del Curto as well as goalkeeper coach Reinhard Divis. The ÖEHV team is fighting to stay in Group A in Prague.

Ex-goalkeeper Divis, the first Austrian player in the NHL, former team striker Peintner and long-time companion Del Curto were Bader’s assistant coaches at the successful World Cup in Tampere last year. New to the World Cup team is Brandner, the first Austrian goalscorer in the NHL. The 48-year-old was already co-coach under team boss Bader at the 2018 World Cup in Copenhagen.
