Austin Butler has landed a new leading role. He will star in Darren Aronofsky’s thriller “Caught Stealing.”

“Elvis” star Austin Butler, 32, has landed a new leading role: The actor is set to appear in the new crime thriller “Caught Stealing” directed by Darren Aronofsky, 55. This is reported by “Variety”, among others. The film is produced by Sony Pictures.

“Adrenaline-filled rollercoaster ride”

The story revolves around a former baseball player who is unknowingly drawn into the New York underworld of the 1990s and has to fight for his survival. The script is based on the book of the same name by US author Charlie Huston. He will also write the script.

Director Darren Aronofsky is looking forward to an “adrenaline-filled rollercoaster ride,” it is said. He directed the films “Black Swan” and “The Whale,” among others, and has already been nominated for an Oscar.
