ATK Level 2: Youth coach is aimed at coaches for youth teams. We delve into the guidelines and recommendations that form the basis of the Age-Related Training Concept (ATK) for youth players. In addition, on the course you will be challenged to analyze and reflect on your own fine coaching practice, so that you find YOUR way to create motivating training and happy and skilled players,

It means that you get;

  • Understanding of and tools for how the motivating training environment is created
  • Insight into developmental differences between children and adults in relation to training
  • Tools to communicate with different stakeholders (athletes, parents, coaches, managers)
  • Insight so you can relate to your own coaching role and relate this to a given target group
  • Initiate a reflection on how you train today and where you can improve.

Course content and expectations:

  • ATK Level 2 Youth trainer is over two course days of 6 teaching hours each, consisting of theoretical presentations, sports-relevant discussions, assignments and practical exercises
  • In addition, there are 3 compulsory e-learning courses and two optional courses (You must calculate a total of 5 – 7 hours, depending on which e-learning courses you choose in your freedom of choice). These are done between the first and second modules
  • There will be a submission consisting of a video of a maximum of 3 minutes. or half an A4 page (1200 characters). The submission can only be dumped with a blank submission, otherwise it is your own reflection on what you have taken away from the e-learning that is important
  • Two different written tasks about environmental development and communication which are completed between module 1 and module 2. Follow-up is done in the participant groups on Module 2

The course grants a coaching licence, cf. DBBF’s rules on coaching licences, and is aimed at coaches who must have a B-Coaching license (Children & Broad License) and/or T-Coaching license (Talent Licence).

NOTE: In order to participate in the course, you must have completed a SMART 1, ATK Level 1 or a similar training course.
