The men’s team from the Argens tennis club qualified for the final of the 2nd division Aude championship by beating the Montredon Corbières team 4 to 2. The two teams were neck and neck at the end of the 4 very close singles, the double then became decisive. Romain and Thomas were able to gain the upper hand over their opponents, in 2 sets, and thus send Argens to play for the title against Névian. The final will take place this Sunday March 17 from 9 a.m. at the Trèbes departmental center.
The other matches scheduled for last weekend were all postponed due to the weather. Thus, the women’s team will begin their championship this Sunday March 17 on the courts of Cazilhac while the men will travel on Saturday March 16 to Ventenac-Cabardès for their first meeting of their regional competition.
Our village will therefore once again be well represented this weekend on the department’s tennis courts.
