The Lakers announce that Anthony Davis is doubtful for Monday’s game against Atlanta. The injury suffered against the Warriors is now classified as a left corneal abrasion. A source knowledgeable about Davis’ injury tells ESPN that the Lakers’ interior started to feel better Saturday night and his condition continued to improve on Sunday.
Rather spared from injuries so far – which is nothing in common for him, AD could therefore withdraw for only the fifth time this season this Monday. Timing that is anything but ideal for his franchise, which would really need his services in order to continue to believe in direct qualification for the playoffs.
