In Xiamen, Alexia Richard and Lézana Placette went as far as the quarter-finals, their best result in 2024 after three losses in the round of 16 in Challenges and an entry elimination in the Elite 16 of Tepic the previous week. 22nd in the world, they are currently among the 18 pairs which have enough points to provide their country with a quota for the Paris Olympics (knowing that each country can only qualify two pairs maximum). If they manage to maintain this position at the end of the four major tournaments (excluding Futures) which still count for the Olympic ranking, they would offer the ticket granted to France as organizing country to Clémence Vieira and Aline Chamereau (33rd in the world, 8th finalists in Xiamen).
