Authorities believe that during his residence in Japan, Iniesta was a tax resident in the country, as he lived with his family in the city of Kobe, where he also acted as a cultural ambassador. The Japanese Tax Agency asks the footballer, currently at the Emirates Club, to pay the mentioned sum, which includes penalties for tax arrears.
