Major objective of the junior season, the Coupe de France took place this Saturday March 23, 2024 in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne). Three young judokas from Judo Club Fayacain (Sainte-Honorine-du-Fay south of Caen) took part in the competition and Ambre Dubosq made the club proud by bringing home the silver medal.

So close to the title

For their first participation, Louison Vauvert and Noa Monpierre did not deserve anything. Competing in the -36kg and -50kg category, they finished unclassified, but will return next year.

For her part, Ambre Dubosq reached the final. At the end of an opposition during which neither of the two judokas was able to gain the upper hand over their opponent, it was ultimately by the decision of the refereeing body that the verdict was rendered. Frustrating, but Ambre Dubosq’s performance remains exemplary for the club’s young judokas.
