ALTERCATIONS REAL OVIEDO | The Police what happened on the day of the expulsions of fans in the Tartiere for “being under the influence of alcohol”: “There were six people”

The National Police has spoken out about what happened on the day of Oviedo’s match against Leganés, when six people were expelled from the field “for being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.” The security forces say they have identified 31 radical fans in the run-up to the match played on January 27.

The first intervention occurred when the security forces detected the presence of a group of about 30 Leganés fans who were in the El Cristo campus area waiting for the start of the match. Next, the agents observed another group made up of about 70 Oviedo fans belonging to a group identified as radical, who were approaching the race and in a clear violent attitude.

Both groups even threw glass bottles at each other, although police intervention managed to “dissolve and make the aggressor group flee the scene.” Subsequent investigation work made it possible to identify 31 of them, who were reported for administrative offenses under the Law against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport.

That same day, the police established controls at the access doors to the so-called entertainment stands of the Carlos Tartiere stadium, and expelled from the premises six people who were found with obvious symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
