AA Gent’s Road to Redemption: A Team Building Journey

The disappointment at AA Gent was enormous on Sunday evening. Once again Vanhaezebrouck and co missed out on a coveted ticket for the Champions’ Play-offs and the events in the Kuipje in particular caused a lot of anger among the Buffaloes. The people of Ghent now surprised with a remarkable outing.

Straw towards PO1?

A furious Vanhaezebrouck lashed out at colleague Rik De Mil on Sunday, criticism that was clearly received because barely two days later Westerlo decided to also push his coach aside.

It currently remains to be seen whether the federal public prosecutor’s office will take any other measures, although the chance that AA Gent will still end up in PO1 seems very small. Once again, the Buffaloes have to earn their European ticket through the Europe Play-Offs, in which they will, among other things, face… Westerlo.

Team building with serious consequences

To clear their minds, the Ghent players group went on team building. Part of the Tour of Flanders route was (we suspect) completed by bicycle. In the photos we see Tissoudali (not called up for Morocco) toiling on the bike.

That clearly took some effort because the video from the Ghent social media team included the striking message: “Let’s never do this again.”
