In overtime, the Predators come from behind to beat the Golden Knights and extend their streak of earning points to 18 games.

At 2:45 of the first period, Ivan Barbashev scored for the Golden Knights to give them a 1-0 advantage, receiving a cross-ice pass from Jack Eichel during a rush play.

At 5:52 of the third period, O’Reilly scored from the slot after receiving a pass from Nyquist, bringing the score to 4-2.

At 12:17, Forsberg scored to put the Predators up 4-3. He poked in the puck after Patera blocked Jason Zucker’s close-range backhand shot. The Golden Knights disputed the call, claiming it was offside, but their challenge was unsuccessful, giving the Predators a power play.
“We’ve built a reputation on our third periods here lately,” Forsberg said. “Most of them have been kind of pulling away when we have the lead going in or tying it up or whatever, going quick. This one was a little tougher of a challenge going into it, but the boys answered the bell.”

Barbashev described the game as having a playoff atmosphere with a high level of physicality and scoring opportunities. The goalies also played exceptionally well, and the opposing team likely gained momentum from their home crowd after scoring in the third period. This was just the flow of the game.

At 12:57 on the resulting power play, Nyquist brought the score to a tie of 4-4. He received a pass from O’Reilly and made a shot with his wrist from the left circle, sneaking it past a blocked Patera.
