FederCusi has made official the program of the 2024 National University Championships, scheduled from 18 to 26 May organized by the University of Molise and Cus Molise. The traveling event will involve a large part of the Molise municipalities and will see over 2000 students engaged in the regional territory in many disciplines, both team and individual. The most important university event will start on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th with wrestling, judo and taekwondo competitions as well as athletics. Taekwondo matches will take place at the Palaunimol while the Vinchiaturo sports hall will host judo and wrestling. The Lancellotta stadium will also be the scene of athletics on Sunday. Team sports will start from Monday 20 May with the start of the 11-a-side football groups (matches on the fields of Campomarino, San Giacomo and Petacciato), men’s and women’s volleyball, five-a-side football (with Palaunimol and the Sturzo gym as competition venues) . The basketball event will start on May 21st, the matches of which will take place at the Palavazzieri and at the Molisana Arena in the Selvapiana district. The skeet shooting will take place in San Giuliano del Sannio, at the Tav field, on Tuesday 21st. On Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd the rugby sevens championship will be awarded on the Vecchio Romagnoli ground. On the coast, in addition to 11-a-side football, there will be fencing competitions with the Palasabetta hosting the event on 21, 22 and 23 May. The gym of the former Scientific High School in Campobasso will host the table tennis competitions on Wednesday and Thursday. The closing, on Sunday 26th, will, as usual, be up to karate with the Palaunimol which will award the last titles of an event intended to regulate emotions and entertainment in every discipline. The organizational machine has been at work for some time now, to put on an event of high technical depth, as it was in the 2018 editions and before that in 2010.
