Zwischenbrugger wins European Cup giant slalom –

Noel Zwischenbrugger won an Alpine European Cup race for the first time. The 22-year-old from Vorarlberg won the giant slalom from Marburg to the Pass Thurn on Monday, 0.07 seconds ahead of Frenchman Flavio Vitale. Zwischenbrugger was third after the first round.

“Winning the European Cup for the first time is an extremely nice feeling. “I was particularly successful in the second run, in difficult conditions,” said the winner. Another giant slalom is scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.
