Zinédine Zidane Rumored as Possible Successor for FC Bayern

After FC Bayern announced that they would be parting ways with Thomas Tuchel in the summer, rumors about a successor are running hot. A possible candidate is Zinédine Zidane. The Frenchman can clearly imagine playing in the Bundesliga.

At least that’s what an unnamed insider told “Sport1”: “Zinédine sees FC Bayern like Real Madrid: an institution as a club with a great past and great working conditions. Both clubs have many similarities in the way they work. In this respect, it was for him German record champions a topic that he never rejected.”

Zidane was coach at Real Madrid until summer 2021. The 51-year-old has been without a club since then. That could change soon.

“One thing is definitely certain: Zinédine can hardly wait to get back to work as a coach. He’s on fire like never before,” the source is quoted as saying.

“Sporting power” for Zidane at FC Bayern?

Basically there are three options for Zidane: the French national team, Juventus Turin and FC Bayern. “But he definitely doesn’t want to go to England, that’s for sure,” said the TV station’s “companion” of the 1998 world champion.

Zidane would be a good fit for the German record champions because he “works like a German, is structured and he is extremely obsessed with details,” the insider continued: “But if those in charge in Munich want to get him, they have to give him the sporting power and fulfill his wishes . He is very ambitious and subordinates everything to success. He doesn’t want to leave anything to chance.”

Last week it was said that Zidane only wanted to work in countries whose language he spoke. German is currently not one of them.

The fact that he is ruling out an engagement in Munich no longer seems to be the case. As “Bild” has learned, the former world-class player is following the events of the Bundesliga series champions with interest. Despite the language barrier, the job at FC Bayern is said to appeal to him.
