Zamorano Athletes Selected for Judo Sports Technique Center of Castilla y León

The General Directorate of Sports has approved the list of athletes who are members of the Judo Sports Technique Center of Castilla y León.

The new list of athletes is made up of four Zamorano athletes, all of them members of the Río Esgueva Technical Center, such as Elena Bahamonde García, Juan Meana Jiménez, Miriam Silvares Franco and Sak Ventosa Pérez. All of them have been endorsed for their sporting merits that have led them to stand out in their respective categories.

In the case of Elena Bahamonde, her next performance stands out representing Spain in the European Cup on February 17 and 18, while on February 23 and 24 she will compete with the regional team in the western sector phase of the Spanish championship. A week ago she won the Junior Regional Championship, a merit that is added to the silver obtained in the Spanish Cup of Catalonia Judo that has given her fourth place in the national ranking. She, along with her partner Miriam Silvares, got on the podium at the Internacional de Castilla y León.

The list is made up of a total of 59 athletes with a majority representation of athletes from Burgos (18) and Palencia (9). They are followed by Salamanca (9), León (5), Valladolid (5), Zamora (4), Segovia (3), Soria (3) and Ávila (2).
