Xabi Alonso’s Transfer Fee Revealed: Bayern and Liverpool’s Summer Plans

Bayern and Liverpool already know the amount they would have to pay to acquire the services of Xabi Alonso in the summer. As Sky Germany assures, the Spanish coach’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen contains a termination clause, but it would not come into force until 2025.

However, the coach would have agreed with the aspirin team that he would be allowed to leave if he received an interesting proposal, as long as the offer satisfies the club’s financial needs. In this case, always according to Sky Germany, Bayern and Liverpool should pay between 15 and 25 million euros.

Regardless of this, on the main floor of the BayArena they remain convinced of being able to retain their coach beyond the summer. This was made clear by Simon Rolfes, Leverkusen’s sporting director, in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau.

“I remain calm and optimistic. The most important thing for senior officials is that they feel comfortable and have the feeling that they are in the right place,” were Rolfes’ words when asked about a coach for whom the Germans and English will fight during the next summer transfer window.

Rolfes stressed that he believes that continuing in Leverkusen despite the offers from the continent’s greats is a real option for Xabi. “He has often said it himself. “This is how he works with his team and his coaching staff every day,” Rolfes explained about the former footballer with a contract until 2026. What if Xabi himself wanted to leave earlier? “There are many possible situations in this world. But not all of them have to happen,” concluded Rolfes, also making it clear that the only thing the coach is thinking about at the moment is beating Cologne next Sunday to continue flying towards what would be the first salad bowl in Leverkusen’s history.
