World Table Tennis Championships: at what time and on which channel to watch the Lebrun brothers’ quarters?

The French table tennis players are having a successful World Championship in Busan for the moment. The boys won their four group matches against Austria (3-0), Denmark (3-2), Australia (3-0) and Algeria (3-0) before defeating the Polish team in 8th (3-0). The Blues, led by the Lebrun brothers and Simon Gauzy, arrive as favorites in the quarter-finals.

For this one, the Tricolores will be opposed to the Portugal team which also finished first in its group before qualifying in the quarter against Croatia. The Lebrun brothers, leaders of this French team, could already guarantee a bronze medal in their worlds in the event of qualification for the semi-finals, something which has not happened in men’s table tennis since the title in 1997 in Manchester .

Among girls, there is also hope. The four tricolors entered, Jia Nan Yuan, Prithika Pavade, Charlotte Lutz and Audrey Zarif finished first in their groups before eliminating the Portuguese today in the 8th (3-0). For the quarters, the Blues will have to face the German team which is also undefeated in these worlds. A victory against the German table tennis players would also ensure a bronze medal for French table tennis. This would be historic since the Blues have not brought back a single trinket since the 1991 team world championships.

The meetings can be followed via the RMC Sport Twitch channel. France-Portugal for men is scheduled for around 5 a.m. France-Germany for women is scheduled for around 9 a.m.
