During the last FFF executive committee, on January 15, Antony Gautier, the technical director of refereeing, announced, according to our information, that FIFA had authorized France to experiment with sound systems for referees. Not in any conditions, but on a pattern close to that put in place during the Under-20 World Cup organized between May 20 and June 11 in Argentina. On this occasion, a sound system allowed the referees to speak directly to explain their choices to the teams and the public after consulting the VAR.
