According to police, Hamburger SV supporters dismantled a snack stand. The as yet unknown perpetrators first threw pyrotechnics at the stand, then looted the catering area and vandalized it.
“As a result of the attack, one person suffered a head wound and two other employees of the catering company were diagnosed with blast trauma,” said a police spokeswoman.

The injured received medical treatment on site. Investigations are underway into serious breaches of the peace.
The state police deployed around 880 officers to secure the match, including support staff from Schleswig-Holstein and Bremen.
On Saturday evening, a large police force stopped a regional train that was traveling from Rostock to Hamburg. The reason: the search for violent criminals among hundreds of HSV fans.
The search was for 60 suspected HSV violent perpetrators who are said to have clashed with Borussia Dortmund supporters in Mannheim main train station on September 16, 2023.
