Veolia Towers Hamburg Suffers Another Setback in Basketball Bundesliga Battles

In the fight for the playoff places in the Basketball Bundesliga, Veolia Towers Hamburg suffered the next setback. On Saturday, head coach Benka Barloschky’s team lost to Telekom Baskets Bonn in front of 3,400 spectators in the Inselparkhalle with 80:87 (43:38) and left the field as losers for the third time in a row in the BBL. It was also the eighth defeat in the 18th league game for the Hanseatic League. Vincent King scored the most points for the hosts (15 points).

The Towers were the better team for much of the first quarter, but then briefly fell behind. In the second half of the game, however, the Hanseatic team proved to be more effective as the game progressed and went into the break with a five-point cushion.
