University of Valladolid Fights for Survival in Primera Oro League at Oviedo Tournament

Oviedo hosted three new days of the national league in Primera Oro with the objective of the University of Valladolid to get out of the relegation places.

Saturday morning couldn’t start in the best way. UVa won the match 4-3 against Caser Celar’s team from Madrid, in which it had to be decided in the seventh and final game, in which Enrique Fernandez did not falter and was able to give the university team the victory.

In the afternoon session, UVa had a complicated match against the Galicians from Athlos, a team that aspires to be in the top positions of the classification. Once again they fought in each of their games, but it was not enough to achieve victory and a 4-3 loss meant that the Valladolid team did not add any points to the scoreboard.

In the last duel of this second round, the Pucelano team faced off against Huelva, a direct rival for permanence. A one-on-one meeting, which was decided by small details on the side of the Andalusian team by 4-3. New defeat that makes the positions at the bottom of the classification tighten even more.

Once we reach the halfway point of the league, UVa is in ninth position but with the same points as several teams that are around relegation. The next sessions will be on March 23 and 24 in the Catalan town of Granollers.
