This weekend, Tres Cantos becomes the epicenter of sporting events highlights, including two inclusive competitions.

Badminton and wheelchair fencing championships

Tomorrow, Saturday, February 3, the La Luz Sports Center will witness the Spanish Wheelchair Fencing Championship. From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., the best national fencers will gather to compete in the foil, epee and saber disciplines.

On Sunday, February 4, the action continues with the I Madrid Community Inclusive Fencing Championship in the same location, where fencers with and without disabilities will compete in an environment of integration. The competition will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, the City of Columbia Sports Center will host the IV School Badminton Championship on the same Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The matches will be held in various categories, from junior to cadet.

Spanish Gravel Cup with very important names

The highlight of the day will be the first test of the Spanish Gravel Cup, a discipline that makes its historic debut in Tres Cantos. This event will attract national and international cyclists, including names such as Gonzalo Serrano, Nicholas Roche, Dani Moreno, Joan Horrach, Alberto Losada, Javier Ramírez Abeja, Jesús del Nero, Mireia Benito and Ana Dillana. The test, which begins at 9:15 a.m. for men, 9:18 a.m. for women and 9:35 a.m. for the cycle tour, will have a distance of 107 kilometers and more than 2,000 meters of elevation gain, crossing livestock trails and roads in the Canal de Isabel II in the municipalities of Tres Cantos, Colmenar Viejo and San Agustín de Guadalix.
