The general manager of the “Hornets” club represented by Bertan resigns

Kupchak had been the club’s general manager and head of basketball operations since April 2018, but was under contract with the team until the end of this season.

As a player and club representative, Kupchak became a ten-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He will remain with the Charlotte unit as a consultant.

With 11 wins in 52 games, the “Hornets” are in 13th place in the 15-team competition in the NBA Eastern Conference.

Bertans joined the Hornets in a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder last week and scored nine points in his debut to help the team beat the Memphis Grizzlies 115-106 and snap a 10-game losing streak.
