The Development and Community Engagement of the Badminton Club in Scaër

Tuesday February 6, at the Scaër sports hall, Charles Marant, president of the badminton club, took stock of the club’s development over the past two years. “Today we have more than 40 members, adults and children. We are still looking for new members, children from 5-6 years old and adults with no age limit.”

On Tuesday, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., there is a course supervised by Sébastien Blaise, and on Thursday it is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in leisure time. “We also have competitive meetings for a core of players. The club adapts to everyone’s desires,” he said.

“Participate in community life”

Charles Marant is president, Manon Pendu vice-president, Julien Hervieux secretary. “This year we are accompanied by a sponsor, the manager of a roofing company in Scaër. We participated in the Telethon and the MJC Christmas market in December 2023, two actions that we will repeat this year and which will be our flagship events. We try to participate in the life of the municipality,” added the president.

“Our next event will be Mardi Gras. The idea is to disguise yourself during training. The team jersey will highlight the municipality and give visibility to the municipality. We chose the green color represents the club’s values: conviviality, family club, leisure and sport. Blue and green came out of our working group for our logo.”
