Jakarta – Vietnamese media, Dan Tri highlighted the Indonesian National Team which rarely uses the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) since the stadium was completed on April 19 2022.
Meanwhile, on March 21 2024, the Indonesian National Team will host Vietnam in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian zone at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK).

In fact, they wrote, JIS has a larger audience capacity, namely 82 thousand, compared to SUGBK which is only 77 thousand.
“In 2022, in Jakarta (Indonesia) a new stadium will be built called International Jakarta with a capacity of 82,000 people. This stadium is very modern, with a roof that can be shifted, opened and retracted if necessary,” wrote Dan Tri, quoted Thursday, February 15 2024.
“However, international matches for the Indonesian team are rarely held at the International Jakarta Stadium,” continued the article.
Regarding this, they are of the view that SUGBK is an arena that has a special impression for the Garuda squad, both from its history and the sound effects produced by the audience seem louder.
“When the Indonesian national team plays in the capital, the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium is often chosen because of historical factors and the terrifying sound effects provided by the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium,” they said.

According to them, the sound effect of the audience coming to SUGBK directly can make the visiting team shrink.
“The last time the Vietnam team played against Indonesia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium was in the first leg of the 2022 AFF Cup semi-final,” said Dan Tri.
